Hope to share

Hope to share

The Batcave blog has a theme of hope found in God’s word.  I have a few passages I want to share this week.

Psalm 55:16-19

“But I will call on God, and the Lord will rescue me.  Morning, noon, and night I cry out in my distress, and the Lord hears my voice.  He ransoms me and keeps me safe from the battle waged against me though many still oppose me.  God, who has ruled forever, will hear me and humble them.  For my enemies refuse to change their ways; they do not fear God.”

Psalm 55:22

“Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you.  He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.”

Psalm 52:8-9

“But I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God.  I will always trust in God’s unfailing love.  I will praise you forever, O God, for what you have done.  I will trust in your good name in the presence of your faithful people.

Psalm 59:16-17

“But as for me, I will sing about your power.  Each Morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love.  For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress.  O my strength, to you I sing praises, for you, O God, are my refuge, the God who shows me unfailing love.

Psalm 62:5-8

“Let all that I am quietly wait before God for all my hope is in him.  He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken.  My victory and honor come from God alone.  He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.  O, my people, trust in Him at all times.  Pour out your heart to Him, for God is our refuge.

Something happened last week I made the blog a public video on Facebook so people other than just my friends could watch it.  The blog video went from being viewed about 16 times to 98.  I often say this if you show up to read or watch this blog I’m the least important part of it.  God is the main focus.  It belongs to him.  I simply show up and share what He lays on my heart.  See sharing a blog online and making God’s word the focus doesn’t make much sense because I don’t know who reads or watches it but I want to share truth that I know because I make mistakes and I have sought hope myself and I know it can be found in God.  I know when I share his word it will go reach others because of what this next passage says.

Isaiah 55:8-11

“’My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts.’ Says the Lord.  ‘And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.  For just as the Heavens are higher than the earth so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.  The rain and the snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth.  They cause the grain to grow producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry.  It is the same with my word I send it out and it always produces fruit.  It will accomplish all I want it to and prosper everywhere I send it.’”

There have been people in church that have told me to limit this only to a small group but Jesus called us to share the gospel to the uttermost part of the earth.  I made a commitment to do a blog with the focus of sharing hope found in God’s word so the watcher or reader would draw closer to God and that has been my prayer for this.  The people your life affects God has called you to share his love with.

          Matt. 28: 19-20):
And Jesus said to them, "Go
Therefore and make disciples of all nations
Baptizing them in the name of the Father
And the Son, and the Holy Spirit
Teaching them to observe
All that I have commanded you
And lo, I am with you always
Even to the end of the age
I am with you always
Even to the end of the age"

When we say what we say
We've gotta face the nation
We gotta show a dyin' world
The power of love
When we say what we say
We've gotta face the nation
How will they ever know
If they don't see it in us
