Turn around

Turn around

"Turn around bright eyes. But every now and then I fall apart."  Simply put we're often looking the wrong way. We need to turn around.  Titus 2:11-15 gives us the right direction. Multiple times I have tried to tell people this.  In my motorcycle safety course the instructor told us this phrase that is as true for a motorcycle as it is for life.  "Where you look is where you go."  Let's look at Paul's words to Titus.  "For the Grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people.  And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures.  We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God while we look forward with hope to the wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ will be revealed.  He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.  You must teach these things and encourage the believers to do them.  You have the authority to correct them when necessary, so don't let anyone disregard what you say."  You and I are to live wisely in this evil world and encourage others to do so.  Turn to God and live right for our hope is in him.  He is in the process of changing us.
Romans 12:2 "Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.  Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good pleasing and perfect."

"You father the orphan
Your kindness makes us whole
And you shoulder our weakness
And your strength becomes our own
Now you're making me like you
Clothing me in white
Bringing beauty from ashes
For you will have your bride.

Free of all her guilt and rid of all her shame and known by her true name."

Being changed by God is a journey!  Should you not think that being changed is a beneficial journey let me refer you to this passage in Psalms 1:1-3
"Oh the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand with sinners, or join in with mockers.  But they delight in the law of the Lord meditating on it day and night.  They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season.  Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do."
