Surprising Love

One thing that still blows my mind as a Christian is God's love for us.  One of the biggest things I personally struggle with is feeling like a failure.  It's one of the places where the devil attacks me the hardest is to get me thinking I'm a failure and can't be loved by God.  Somewhere along the way in life I started to believe this lie.  I couldn't understand how a human could love me much less the God who created everything.  That's partly why I latch on so hard to Psalms 18:19 "He led me to a place of safety; he rescued me because he delights in me."
Maybe like me you often need reminders of God's love for you so I'm going to let his Son remind you.  Luke 12:27-32.  "Look at the lilies and how they grow.  They don't work or make their clothing, yet Solomon In all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.  And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you.  Why do you have so little faith?  And don't be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don't worry about such things.  These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs.  Seek the kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.  So don't be afraid, little flock.  For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom."  Did you catch that last verse?  It gives our Heavenly Father great happiness to give us his Kingdom when we seek it.  I'm a parent of a dog and it gives me happiness to give Mara the best I can.  God gives to us better than any parent on the planet.  Yes I'm biased and Marion and I have some of the best parents ever but God gives better gifts.  No offense meant to our parents but it's true.  So class "for the benefit of those with flash photography" we've learned a few things.  God saves us, delights in us and receives happiness from giving us his Kingdom.
