Keep you

Keep you

I have a friend who once proposed to this young lady and it was a different proposal than what most guys would say. He asked her “Can I keep you?” This is blog that sometimes goes by the name of A Weekly Dose of Hope. I’m here to tell you that there is hope in God’s Word. He can keep you. See in 1 Corinthians 1:4-9 Paul makes a few statements about our security in Christ and about Christ Jesus keeping us.

“I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. For in him you have been enriched in every way—in all your speaking and in all your knowledge— because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you. Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. He will keep you strong to the end, that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord is faithful.”

He’s going to keep you and he is faithful we need to keep our eyes fixed on him. He’s got the hard part of the agreement taken care of.

“My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus name.”

“I am on the Rock, The sure foundation
I am on the Rock, on the Rock
I am on the Rock, his revelation
I am on the Rock
Though the winds may blow
And though the floods may grow
I shall not be moved cause I am on the Rock!”
