Enoch pleased God

This guy Enoch has a strange history and a notable mention in Hebrews 11 the Hall of Faith.  A lot of people say they want to please God.  Enoch is mentioned as doing just that.  I haven't found too much on the guy but he deserves some of our interest why because he pleased God.  He was also a prophet.  This gives some history.  Jude 1:14-15 "Enoch who lived in the seventh generation after Adam prophesied about these people.  He said `Listen the Lord is coming with countless thousands of his holy ones to execute judgement on the people of the world.  He will convict every person of all the ungodly things they have done and for all the insults that ungodly sinners have spoken against him'".  In Genesis 5 we see his lineage but verses 18-24 is the history I want us to see.  David was referred to as a man after God's own heart.  Look at the life of Enoch because I can promise you this is not going to make the obituaries.  "When Jared was 162 years old he became the father of Enoch.  After the birth of Enoch, Jared lived another 800 years and he had other sons and daughters.  Jared lived 962 years and then he died.  When Enoch was 65 years old, he became the father of Methuselah.  After the birth of Methuselah, Enoch lived in close fellowship with God for another 300 years and he had other sons and daughters.  Enoch lived 365 years walking in close fellowship with God.  Then one day he disappeared because God took him."  So we fast forward to his posthumous induction to the Hall of Faith where I want you to see this man's secret.  Hebrews 11:5-6 "It was by faith that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying-`He disappeared because God took him'.  For before he was taken up, he was known as a person who pleased God.  And it is impossible to please God without faith.  Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him."  I don't know about you but I like Enoch want to be a man who pleases God.  I was asked by my friend Jonathan where his body went because we have to have a new body in Heaven I don't have an answer that's an answer only God can provide.  The important thing is are our lives purposefully set on seeking God and pleasing him.
